| Right after you sign up, you should've gotten this message: [BEGIN PASTE] Thank you for registering, [username]. An email has been dispatched to [email address] with details on how to activate your account. Click here to return to where you were previously. You will receive an email in your inbox. You MUST follow the link in that email before you can post on these forums. Until you do that, you will be told that you do not have permission to post. [END PASTE] The e-mail is from What Is My IP Forum and the subject is Action Required to Activate Membership for What Is My IP Forum. Open it up, click the link, happy posting. |
| I'm new and can't send a PM to someone. |
| We've put measures in place to keep newly registered users from sending PMs to our members. This keeps SPAM down. If you read the next FAQ, you'll see that you shouldn't PM your questions anyway and that you should post all questions in the forum. ; ) |
| Don't PM your questions. |
Please don't PM the Admins and Mods to help you with things like changing your IP Address or other requests for help. If the subject doesn't exist, create a thread under the appropriate forum and post your question there. PMs will not get answered any faster. Plus, with the question posted for all users to see, we might be able to help others solve their problems as well. |
| No Spammers |
| Spammers, because of you, we've locked down the board for new users.
Any new posts will be moderated before being seen by our visitors or search engines. You CANNOT update your profile. You CANNOT send any Private Messages. This WILL NOT change over a period of time. So if you sign up today, in x number of days, you won't automatically be granted higher forum permissions. Save us all some time and GO AWAY.....we're going to delete your account anyway. You won't benefit from signing up on this forum. By you not signing up and wasting your time, saves us the time from deleting your crap later on. We don't want your cell phones, we don't want your penis enlargement products, or anything else you're peddling. Do spammers even read this? If you're a spammer, let me know. : ) |
