Tool for ip's in forums

Is there any way to get someones IP in a forum and or a comment on a web site? im having problems with a stalker and I want to get his ip, from him either making a post or a comment in a forum. any help? any type of toll out there that can do this?

As an admin of this forum, I can see the IP that someone has logged in from....however, as a user, you cannot.....and I suspect that most forums are similar.

You could perhaps lure them in to a private chat with you on MSN or something similar and get their IP, but situations like this are very touchy. In most cases, it's best to leave them alone and ignore the person and they'll eventually go away.

If this is a serious case of stalking, I suggest you get the police involved as they are equipped legally to obtain the necessary IP information required to find out who the "stalker" is.
