Hello everyone, I have a problem.. I have 3 total computers on my router(siemens SL2-141). One of them has a server installed on, (10.0.0.2) One of them is a client to that server(10.0.0.4) and the last one isnt important for now.. Well, everyone can access the server from outside of my network, but i cant access it frm the 10.0.0.4, because every time i try to access it(lets say the ip is: 80.179.150.123) it goes to my ROUTER page... Is there a way to re-direct the ip of the router on my client pc to the server ps (10.0.0.2) or any way to configure the 10.0.0.2 as the "ip owner" or something like that? Thanks, gal.:] |

Since you're trying to access it from within its own network, you'll access it by using the 10.0.0.2 address and not the external IP. The external IP is only needed if you're outside of the network.

Yes, but the server installed on 10.0.0.2 is configured on the actual IP address, which why i cant access it, the ip address redirects to the 10.0.0.138, which i want to change to 10.0.0.2...

So 10.0.0.2 is the server and 10.0.0.138 is the router?
On your router, what IP address are your forwarding traffic to so that users from the outside can access your server? |

Sorry for the wait,
The server is : 10.0.0.2 The PC is : 10.0.0.4 The Router page : 10.0.0.138 now, the 10.0.0.2 is configured to run the server on the WANIP, because its a world-wide server, not a lan one, now i cant access to it from 10.0.0.4 because when it trys, it redirects to the wanip which automaticly goes to the Router and not to the 10.0.0.2 like i need. So i need something to redirect it from the WANIP to 10.0.0.2 on the 10.0.0.4 PC. Thanks for helping me so far=] |

So how are you trying to access it? http://10.0.0.2 or another method?
When you ping 10.0.0.2 from 10.0.0.4, what are your results? |

The results are 10.0.0.2, but even if i connect to 10.0.0.2 from the Pc, the server is configured to Redirect to the WANIP, which in the Pc case, doesnt go to the server like public computers, but goes to the router.. Like 10.0.0.138 in the internet.

You need to configure your server to listen on 10.0.0.2 and NOT the WAN IP. Then in your router, port forward all requests to 10.0.0.2.
You'll then be able to access your server from a 10. IP address as well as an outside IP address. |

Thanks for the help, but it didnt help..
I opened all ports by DNZ HOST, set the server on 10.0.0.2 and only i was able to get inside it, outside users couldnt. I think the reason is , when they connect to the server it redirects between services that the server has, and when i set the ip to 10.0.0.2 the outside user is redirected to 10.0.0.2, which in where he is doesnt have a server therfore disconnects the user from the server... The only way i can think is to make the 10.0.0.4 think the wanip is the 10.0.0.2(i do not know how to do it) otherwise i dont have any idea. |
