Hello WIMI members - I am a home PC enthusiast. I am presently messing around with linux (Ubuntu) and VirtualBox, in which I have a WinXPPro VM running, from which I write this little "hello2 to you all. I am attempting to get access to the VM from the web, but my VM is on my home network, my wonderful BT router allows me to put mahcines into a demilitarized zone.........how wodnerfully dramatic a term! Hnec my interest in my external IP. The WIMI forums look to be a great place to start learning about the world of IP's. My major concern with all of this is safety from attack, I want selected indiviudals to access the PC remotely but not everyone in the whole world. Wish me luck. Thanks for reading
