My name is David and I am a professional network engineer living in San Francisco, California. I have worked as a Sr. Network Engineer for the first and fifth largest tier-1 carriers in the United States: Level3 and vERIO (now known as NTT/vERIO). I have also worked for Juniper Networks and Sun Microsystems. Currently I am Principal Network Engineer for the Blackhawk Network. I have a decade of experience building, feeding, and caring for IP networks. I am thoroughly conversant on four routing platforms, three firewall platforms, three load balancing implementations, and I possess an in-depth understanding of all dynamic routing protocols as well as MPLS/VPLS, TCP/IP mechanics, and the optimization and scaling of high-speed networks.
