Someone is stalking my friend sending her emails and leaving mail at her house. They also know her phone number. I have the header from his email, used neotrace, and as everyone has said it traced it to the server. How can I tell where he is from or who he is? I read a lot of these post and someone mentioned that with that and a name you can find almost anyone. I believe the name he is using is fake, because the cops cant find him either. Just curious if anyone had an suggestions. Thanks |

Is he physically delivering mail to her house or sending it via the postal service? If he is physically delivering mail, then he knows she isn't home. So he's watching from somewhere. She should follow her normal routine for a few days only sneak back in her home via the backdoor and set up a camera and take some pics of him dropping letters in her mailbox.
Another alternative would be buy a domain name that's off the wall and install tracking software on the server. Email him the link and once he clicks...you've got an IP address. Having his IP address will only narrow down the city he lives in....and you can already assume that he lives close enough if he's the one dropping letters in her mailbox. My question is, how did he find out where she lives? Did he see her one day and follow her home? Is her mailing address easily accessible at work? |

She lives very close to work. Its basically right across the street. The police are involved, but can't find him under his name he leaves. He hand delivers the mail to her house. She says it has no postmark. I didnt know if there was a way to find via email. Since he emails her.

It would be difficult...
you can possibly get his Internet IP, maybe even his local IP (which is mostly worthless)... and in some cases you can get his email server IP still then, any more information would require the cooperation of his ISP |
