Hi,
I have recently tried to portforward my O2 router and it failed. I port forwarded and when I check it on a custom IP + Port scan and scan my lan ip with the port I use to port forward it works. When I check the port on my WAN IP it fails. Whats wrong? Theres no option for me to choose the IP to portforward. Success: Port: 80 LAN IP: 192.xx Failed: Port: 80 WAN IP: 188.xx Please help. |

Somewhere in the router in the port forwarding section it should ask where you want port 80 to go to. The answer will be the static IP of the internal computer you want to handle port 80 requests.
If you can't put the IP in, it's probably not going to work, unless the computer you want to handle port 80 requests is the only one on the network and the O2 router is acting more like a firewall where you are basically telling it to allow all inbound port 80 traffic. |
