Send my IP to my email
Hello,
I would need some app which would send my Ip address to my email address every hour or so. Does such appliacation even exist?  If not, how can I find my IP address if I'm not infront of my screen? Thanks |

We've actually got a couple of our forum members working on a program that will do exactly what you're requesting.

Cube, what is it that you are trying to accomplish? Brian, why are the other guys doing it?
Honestly, I can't imagine there being any benefit to that at all when there are other solutions like no-ip.com... ... unless you simply want an email record of your IP address history. |

The other guys are doing it so they'll know if their IP at home has changed. If they want to remote in, they can just look at the last email to know their current IP.
I need to go get no-ip so I can familiarize myself with it.....and possibly recommend it over anything else. |
