Default ping performance

i play a game with a ping when i make test ping sometimes i find my ping is 150 and sometimes i find it 280 and when i restart my router and change my ip suddenly sometimes my ping go 150 again so any 1 know how can i let the ping is fixed and what is affecting on ping ..

do you have any other machines on your LAN that might be hogging the bandwidth?

you might consider contacting your ISP, maybe they can help get your speed more consistant

could just be peak times causing it and you may have no resolution to it

In addition to contacting your ISP, try pinging google at the same time you are pinging your game host.
Further, check your connection (most probably your dsl router) if it's showing any error in connection!

The speed of the ping can be anything and any number at any time. The lower the ping the faster and better it is.
