Rachel Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 1	Just started a course in web design... Hi... I just started attending a course in web design and would like some help understanding some sauce. I understand that a tag opens with a <tag> and closes like </tag>..... But I dont understand the line: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> Why does this not get closed? If I remove it... it seems fine... do I even need it...?
