Hello, i am wondering if it is possible to hide my ip address from websites
I regularly use bookmakers websites and they have my ip address logged so i cannot bet with them on the internet I would like to be able to open a new account, on a different computer, and then use the new account on my own computer without the company being able to match my ip address to the other account Therefore, is it possible to use something, which is safe to use as i regularly deposit money and log in using my passwords, which will prevent my ip address being shown to the company in question Regards |

You can go through a proxy, or even through tor, but be careful about what kind of personal data you transmit through such a network.

I don't know anything about internet gambling but won't you still have to give them your name and bank details ??

If you want to hide your IP you should get vidalia with tor and get privoxy.
Just keep in mind when using a proxy server your internet becomes extremely slow and sometimes unbearable to use. Good luck, Jim Last edited by wimiadmin; 11-16-2008 at 09:36 PM.. |

Just want to add that using tor/vidalia/privoxy or simply any proxy will not help you much with bookmarking.
Social bookmarking engines like digg or stumbleupon or hugg has become so intelligent that they can still detect and block multiple accounts created by same person. So you better don't waiste your time in it ![]() Goodluck |
