DDoS Attacks.

A immature person is using a botnet to DDoS my ventrillo and I really can't afford the "DDoS secure" ventrillo servers. The person who does this can't get on my ventrillo but some1 gave him the IP of it so he closes my ventrillo. He's done it to 2 of my vents now.

He was flooding port 3822 but i dont have what ip he is coming from as there is loadsof them.

Ventrillo server is being attacked.

No firewall in place.

He is flooding it to prevent me and my friends communicating therefore being at a disadvantage at a game.

The attack hit my ventrillo server and I'm aware of him doing it to specific players on their own PC's.

They are using an IRC server to control their botnet.

Ive tried supply alot of information any idea how i can stop him from attacking my ventrillo IPs?

You need a firewall and only the ports that need to be open should be open.

Get that up first, then let's take it from there.

Could you guide to me to a specific firewall because I'm really no use at knowing what's best for what.

Tell me the server specs (O/S, processor, ram) and exactly what you have access to. In other words if it's a linux based server do you have root access, etc.
