In my website's hosting service cPanel I can go into the stats section to get a visitor's IP address and look it up to get geographical location info and other data. How can I tell where this visitor is from? Host: c247-022.blackberry.net Http Code: 403 Date: Aug 13 09:51:39 Http Version: HTTP/1.0 Size in Bytes: - Referer: - Agent: BlackBerry9000/4.6.0.144 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/122 |

Since they're coming to you from a Blackberry, they're most likely coming via a proxy.
When I surf through my Blackberry, my IP is based out of Canada yet I'm about 700 miles south of Niagara Falls. I did an nslookup on c247-022.blackberry.net and the IP came back as 216.9.247.22. When I do a lookup on the IP, the result is Toronto, Canada....and I doubt they're in Canada. |

You can do an nslookup on that domain and turn it in to an IP address, but it's just going to point to AOL and not to the specific user.
