How can i manage static IP network? I dont have any firewal installed at my network and even i dont know how to configure router.
I want that internet will be accessible to those IP's who have my permission from server because there some people who their self configure IP configuration of out network & keep accessing internet without permission. Server installed at my office is Windows server 2003 with Lotus domino server 8.0. |

First things first.....is your server a domain controller? If it is, learn Group Policy Object (GPO). With the GPO, and user permission controls, you can keep users from changing the IPs.
Secondly, put a proxy in place like [outdated link removed] Cheap and works great. Install the proxy software on the server, put a GPO in place so IE is forced to go through the proxy before going to the internet. CCProxy has setting to allow internet access by IP, only allow access to certain web sites, or block certain web sites, etc. Sounds like you have no control over your network. If you tighten the reigns and get that under control you'd be surprised at how much faster your network will operate, let alone, you'll probably eliminate malware, spyware, etc. Last edited by wimiadmin; 03-06-2010 at 05:55 PM. |

Odd. When I've gone to the site in the past it's always been in english. As a matter of fact, when I was there the other day to copy the link for the forum post above, the site was in english.
Give it a couple of days. I'm sure they'll notice their error and correct it back to english. |
