So, i have jus about ran out of ideas of things to program. I rly like using php, and i am always trying to learn new things and make new things.. Does anybody kno of any cool things they would wanna c? cause im eager to program something lol.

C++
PHP
HTML
BASIC
C++ 6 (very very basic, no GUI)

So doeas anybody have any ideas 4 me?

If you are expert on php and other framework, I'd love to see an application for recording audio online.
I don't know if it's possible but it will be interesting features on web.

A simple idea for you to develop in PHP.

Make a script that should check particular host or hosts and write it's status to DB, the script will than run every minute by scheduled task / cron job.

The purpose would be to track host/ip uptime/downtime!

How about this:

A program that will periodically save to the hard drive captured video from a web cam.

Such as each file could be manually set to be any length of time such as 30 seconds or 1 minute.

So far I have only seen software that will record video constantly until the user saves the file manually or just let the recording go until all RAM is gone and the program/computer crashes.

If the software would save the captured video periodically that would be a permanent record and would continue until all hard disk space had been used up.

Even better if the software still functioned in the background while the computer was unattended but locked with a password.

Still better, the software uploads the video files to your web space at the same time.

This would be great for home security since any intruder can take the VCR tape from your CCTV and take your computer video (is on the hard drive) if they stole your computer but if it saves the video periodically and uploads it somewhere the invaders face will be right there safe and preserved.

Just set it to run when you are not going to be home.

Maybe there is some video freeware that already functions this way?
