Smile Two different IP's, I'm confused, please help

Hey Guys,
I was wanting to change my IP but apparantly it doesn't work. I have been following all of your instructions and explanations, but I'm Dutch so it's pretty hard to understand all of it.

So, when I was trying to change my IP, I got into a bit of confusion. When checking whatismyip.com it says 78.27.52.191. But when checking the cmd. it says my IP is: 192.168.1.69. Which are both very different.
Now, all of the changes I have been making are all to 192.168.1.69, but I want to change the other IP.

And I just read an explanation which I think 78.27.52.191 is an external IP.
So my question is: How do I change this IP?
I have been doing like everything but nothing works.
Please reply on this one?

Do you have a router and have you tried turning it off overnight and turning it back on in the morning?

Or try turning off the piece of equipment your ISP gave you overnight and turn it back on in the morning.

Keep in mind that not everyone can change their IP.

I hava a router and didn't try to turn it off overnight. If I do that, for how long must it be?

And does ISP stand for my manufacturer or something like that?

And thanks for the fast reply

I would say to leave the router and/or ISP equipment off for at least 6 hours.

ISP is your Internet Service Provider.

Lightbulb info.

Since you are assigned a dynamic ip by your ISP, so you will keep getting the same external ip address till the time your router is ON. Once you turn off your router for the mentioned time (6 hours), your connection with the remote server would be terminated and when you will restart your router again, hopefully you will get connected again with your remote server but this time with a different external ip address.
I don't think that your ISP would have given you the rights to select an external ip of your own choice. It is assigned automatically from a pool of ip's!
