No, I'm not a email spammer.
I wouldn't call what I'm doing spamming. I need proxies to give my videos thousands of views on youtube. |

So you're not a spammer, but you're trying to work around the Youtube system to get your video as the most viewed. This results in users going to the Youtube homepage and seeing videos that make absolutely no sense as to why they're the most viewed.
Ethically wrong in my opinion. If you're trying to do something other than what I suspect, let me know. |

So it's ethically wrong if i use proxies to increase the views of my videos..
But it's not ethically wrong when youtube themselves charge companies like Pepsi and Movies like Twlight and Spirit thousands of dollars for they video to be #1 most views and on the front homepage? I'm not a big company, it's just me and one other associate, I cann't afford to pay youtube thousands of dollars for promotion. What i can afford is to buy proxies and promote my videos myself. I'm just someone trying to make money ![]() atleast 50% of the people on the most viewed list do it, and youtube allows it. |

Yes....it's ethically wrong for you to try and beat the system. And we've had a user here post before that he was doing the same thing and youtube would ban the IPs he was coming from after just using each for a very short period of time. So I don't think it's necessarily that they allow it, it may be that the other users just haven't been caught yet.
http://forum.whatismyip.com/f5/youtube-views-t16/ I know how much our bandwidth costs and if it wasn't for our advertisers, we wouldn't be in business. ![]() Maybe you could do some viral marketing like the "Will it blend" folks did with their videos on youtube. An honest effort on their part increased their presence and their profits substantially. |

Have you thought about posting a video that generates a genuine interest? Perhaps some honesty and integrity? They really do go a long way bud. A lot farther than cheating the system, that is for sure.

I would suggest you not to go with the proxies to promote your youtube video. However, promote it in legit ways (some free tips = promote it to relevent forums, or to your own blog, and share it with your friends)
The only legit uses of proxies that one can justify (IMO) includes *-caching *-restricted content(to impose family filter for children in homes) |
