well ,
i changed my static ip :
it was 10.0.0.1 and i changed to 10.0.0.100
but it's not what i want.
i want to change my static ip " 10.0.0.100 "
to internet ip ( www.whatismyip.com )

so anyone can help ? plz ?

You can put your router in bridge mode so your computer gets the public IP. Just make sure your firewall is on.

If your router is supplied by your ISP, you'll need to call them to determine how to put it in bridge mode.

Although I'm sure if you Google the model of the router you'll be able to find instructions somewhere.

If your router is provided by you then you should Google the model and follow the instruction manual.

Yes...the computer that is plugged in to the router will get a public IP address.

and should i call my ISP ?
and tell them how to set my router on brigde mode ?
cant i do it without my ISP ?

you might be able to do it without them if you can locate the right instructions or poke around in the settings and figure it out on your own

ok now here what i exactly got ,
i made new connection on my windows xp .
and i connect normaly ,
and i get a denamic ip , ( http://www.whatismyip.com )

that's amazing ,
but i dont want that ,
when i connect from my router 10.0.0.138
i get a static ip ( 10.0.0.1 )

i open cmd and write ipconfig /all
i get this :
( local connect from my router )
IP adress : 10.0.0.1
Subnet Mask : 255.0.0.0
Default Gateway : 10.0.0.138

( windows xp new connection )
ip adress :
subnet Mask :
Default Gateway :

PPP adabter Connect :
Connection-specific DNS Suffix
Description : WAN <PPP/SLIP> Interface
Physical Adress : 00-53-45-00-00-00
Dhcp Enabled : No
IP Adress : 85.130.239.29 ( www.whatismyip.com )
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway : 85.130.239.29
DNS Servers : 192.115.106.35
62.219.186.7
NetBIOS over Tcpip : Disabled

that's what i want ,
i want to connect over my local router connect ( 10.0.0.138 ) and get this things ,
i dont want to create new windows connection to do that ,

can u help me now ?
