Default my IP is dynamic, but I need static to connect a surveillance system

Some help please.
I use an ISP router and have a dynamic IP that changes constantly. We are trying to hook up a surveillance system that requires a static IP address to call upon from a remote location. Is there some way of maintaining the same IP address on the computer in the ppoe environment? Or some other way of getting around the changing IP address.

Dynamic DNS is a good way to go, there are a few places online offering this service for free.

I use no-ip.com.
