Default IPs on my home-network

OK... I have usually 3 or4 camputers on my home-network, connected o the internet, and I noticed that I can't host a GAME SERVER on the one that im using, I think its because all of the computers on my network have the SAME WAN IP! How is it possible to them to have the same IP? And how can I hos a Game erver on one of them?

Hi Clew,

You'll need to find out what port the game uses and forward that port to the computer that is hosting the game. You'll forward that port in the router. You'll need to assign the internal host computer a static IP first. 192.168.x.x. Once the static IP is assigned, you can forward the port in the router and you should be all set.

Hi, thanks for the Help, but I asked my friend to check if he can connect, but still cant :S

Can you Go in my computer using TeamView, and see what going on?

If yes, pleasde add the following HAMACHI Network, so I can tell you the ID and Pass of the Team Viewer: ID: RoF1 PASS: RoF1

Thanks again!

did you find out which ports you need to forward?

do you understand what port forwarding is?

you have the same WAN IP because you are sharing one connection among other computers

I'd recommend clicking the links in my signature, might make things clearer for you if you read those threads

Hi there, yes I understand what port forwarding means, I already forwarded the ports of the game, which are 1300, 13000, 13001, 13002 and 3006. This last one is for MySQL, i forwarded just in case, i tryed without it, but still same.

Now i understand about the IPs being all the same, but can some one check my connection and other stuff through Team Viewer, to see that every thing is in order?

Thanks mate!

try putting the game machine in the DMZ, or even connect directly to the router

also, does your router have any sort of protocol setting for the port forwarding or firewall?

I wonder if there is a specific protocol your game is using that the router is blocking

I'm not sure that someone here will log into your machine, but you might consider taking screen shots of your config and posting it up, probably will get you more advice...
