DSL Diagnostic test IP =Fail

With my PC hooked straight to the netopia 2210 modem I can acces the internet, but my diagnostic test says IP=Fail. When I hook my wrt54g router up I can't even access the router set up page or go to any website.Suggestions please?

You need to make sure the wrt54g is assigning you an IP address. If it's not, there's a little red reset button on the back....you'll need a paperclip to push it. With the router plugged in, hit that button....give it a few minutes, then plug your computer in to the router, boot up the PC and see what happens.
