I am having custody issues with my ex. I had some emails between the 2 of us on my gmail account that flattered me very much as a mother. I had them saved on there for months and now they are gone. Stupidly, I had the same password on my email account as I do on my daughters orthodontist online account for payments, which he takes care of. My question is whether or not I can find out if he ever logged on to my email from his IP address? Are there laws against this? Any info would be much appreciated.

the only thing I can think of is to see if he sent any emails, otherwise I think you are out of luck... the only way would be for google to send you their logs and I don't know how much of a pain that could be

this goes without saying, but change all your passwords now

Scroll down to the bottom of your Gmail window, and you'll see something that says something similar to:
"Last account activity: 11 hours ago on this computer. Details"
You're going to want to click on "Details" and it'll present you with a table of IPs who've logged in your account over a certain period of time, as well as the time and date.

Google mail actually displays the last login IP. Look below the Inbox: Last account activity: 3 minutes ago at this IP (44.33.22.11). Google also keeps logs of the IP address used to access it. You may ask support for the logs.

Also, Gmail allows emails to be archived and not deleted. Maybe the emails you are looking for have not been deleted but archived. Do a search on the contents.

Finally, it clearly is unethical to read someone else's email, not to mention delete them.
